Foreign 'Topos/Chronos' in Japanese Literature, Arts, Films and Popular Culture

We are looking for ten papers that fit the general topic here above.

Possible sub-topics include, but are not limited to:

Self-orientalism; exoticism; cultural imperialism; "French" theory in academia; Western feminism; postmodernism; description of foreigners in Japanese culture; American popular heroes; transformation of popular heroes into Japanese ones (see Ultraman); representations of Black people or Black culture after Yamada Eimi's phenomenon; Asians in Japanese films; Japanese fictions and arts created outside Japan; representations of Nikkeijin, Japanese-Brazilians and Japanese-Peruvians in Japanese culture; etc.
