TRANSPORTATION
INFORMATION
|
The major airport nearest to Boulder is Denver International Airport (DIA), which
receives direct flights from most major cities in the US. For travelers from Europe, direct flights are also available from London.
The easiest way to reach Boulder from DIA is by shuttle, at a cost of around $17-20
one way. People interested in exact shuttle rates and in booking shuttle rides
should contact either of the following local shuttle operators:
Denver Express, toll-free reservations
number: 866-300-3337
Supershuttle, toll-free reservations number: 800-525-3177
There is also a local public bus, the
"AB" Skyride, which travels hourly between
DIA and Boulder at a cost of $8 one way. However, the "AB"
will not take you directly to your hotel. The unusually well-heeled among you
may of course also hire taxis and limos or rent cars.
Finally, those travelers using Frontier
Airlines should contact their travel agents about the courtesy shuttle Frontier
operates between DIA and the Regal Harvest House Hotel in Boulder. This courtesy shuttle may also be available to
travelers on British Airways, which shares the Frontier terminal. The Frontier
shuttle is assigned a flight number since it departs from a regular departure
gate at DIA.
NB: When booking a return shuttle for DIA,
please make sure that you leave yourselves enough time to make your homeward
flights. Travelers should allow an hour to an hour and a half to make the trip
from Boulder to DIA. Please consult the shuttle operators noted
above and your local travel agents for more precise information.
