Contact the Seminar Organizers Faulkner and Mo Yan are both writers who pay attention to the writing of narrative art and the exploration of artistic forms of works. Mo Yan admits that the narrative art of his novels is influenced by Faulkner, but the narrative art of his works is also unique. The Sound and the Fury and Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out are representative works of the two writers respectively. By exploring the similarities and differences in the narrative art between The Sound and the Fury and Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out, and excavating the cultural factors behind the narrative art of the two novels, we can see that the writing of the narrative art of the two novels is deeply influenced by literary tradition and religion. The writing of the narrative art in The Sound and the Fury reflects the influence of the American Southern literary tradition and Christian culture. Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out not only shows Mo Yan's reference to the narrative art of Western literature, but also reflects the writer's approach and return to Chinese classical novels and folk literature.
