2021 ACLA Grant Fund

The ACLA has allocated funds to waive the fees for contingent faculty and graduate students attending the 2021 Annual Meeting (April 8-11, 2021). Preference will be given to seminar organizers and panelists; however, we encourage all registrants to apply for consideration.

Thanks to the generosity of our many supporters who donated their registration fees from the canceled 2020 conference, the ACLA is able to combine those funds with existing grant funds to offer $46,000 in waivers to the 2021 conference.

The ACLA is particularly concerned with helping students and contingent faculty who have no support for conference participation from their institutions or other sources and who have not received a grant from the ACLA in a prior year. Regrettably, we receive many more applications than we can fund so this funding is by no means guaranteed. The above criteria are used in selection, but we urge students and contingent faculty to inquire at their own institutions as well for support.

Additionally, thanks to the generosity of the friends and family of Haskell Block, a single grant of up to $500 is awarded each year to an international graduate student presenting a paper at the conference.

Please use the form below to apply. All responses are confidential and will be seen only by ACLA grant reviewers. All applications must be received by December 31st, 2020 and will receive a response by February 28th, 2021.

**Please note that we are able to issue fee waivers by check or wire transfer only. The grant is limited to covering the registration fee. We unfortunately are unable to accommodate requests for additional funding beyond registration fees.**
