Brenda Ayres and Sarah E. Maier have coedited numerous anthologies of essays and now initiate a new project titled “Combat PTSD in Literature.” Ayres and Maier invite scholars from around the world to submit articles that identify the depiction of combat PTSD in myriad historical periods and cultures as portrayed through literary works, but not to include the visual and audiovisual arts.
Please email an abstract of no more than 250 words or entire article and a 4-5-sentence bio of credentials including relevant publications to [email protected] by October 31, 2026. Finished essays should consist of 5,000 to 8,000 words and follow Chicago style and American spelling and punctuation. They should not have been previously published.
