Event: RCELL International Conference 2027
Event dates: February 13–14, 2027 (online, Zoom)
The Research Centre for English Language and Literature (RCELL), India, invites abstracts for its international conference "Literature in the Age of AI: Posthumanism, Digital Humanities, and Ecological Futures", held online on February 13–14, 2027, in academic partnership with Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous), Kerala, and Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Punjab.
Artificial intelligence is changing how literature is written, read, taught and studied, while posthumanist thought and the climate crisis unsettle older ideas of the human and of the future. We welcome comparative and interdisciplinary papers in four streams: (I) AI, Posthumanism and the Future of the Human; (II) Digital Humanities, AI and New Literary Practices; (III) Literature, Ecology and Climate Futures; (IV) Postcolonial, Decolonial and Indigenous Futures.
Keynote speakers include Dr María Ferrández-Sanmiguel (University of Zaragoza), Dr Dana J. Gavin (Dutchess Community College) and Dr Marco Caracciolo (Ghent University); further keynotes to be announced.
Abstracts: 250–300 words, 4–6 keywords, and a biography of up to 75 words. Every abstract receives written feedback within 15 days. Selected full papers may be invited for a peer-reviewed special issue of The Criterion: An International Journal in English. Early-bird registration closes December 31, 2026; final deadline January 31, 2027. Registration, payment and abstract submission are completed together through the conference website.
