Visiting Assistant Professor of Arabic Studies

The Arabic Studies Department at Williams College is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Arabic Studies for a two-year appointment (2026–2028), beginning in fall 2026 and ending in May 2028. The selected candidate will teach two courses per semester, including one each semester in their field of specialty. Specialization is open, with Ph.D. required by the beginning of the appointment. Excellent training and experience teaching all levels of Arabic language to non-native speakers are essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a record of success in teaching Arabic 101/102. We are especially interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about contributing to the rich and diverse intellectual life of a campus made up of colleagues and students from widely varying backgrounds. Individuals from groups that are underrepresented in academia are particularly encouraged to apply.
